Perry El Ashmawi
Perry was born in Bahrain in 1988 to Egyptian parents, and in 2009 she attained a BA in Fine Arts from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, majoring in Painting & Drawing.
Perry has showcased her work in Montreal, Athens, Bahrain and Dubai. She was fortunate in being selected to showcase in three editions of The Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, held at the Bahrain National Museum. In Dubai, Perry was a selected artist for the 7th edition of SIKKA Art Fair, and also showcased for the 10th edition of The Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award Exhibition.
In 2018, Perry conducted art workshops at The Louvre Abu Dhabi, as a represented artist for The Sheikha Manal Little Artist Program. She coordinated tailor-made art tour and art programs for students between the ages of 10 to 15 years.
She finds inspiration from the innovative styles of contemporary and urban art. Graphic and graffiti illustrative works are a few examples of urban art that influence her designs. Exploring the regions art scene as a practicing artist, Perry is certain that art will always be a lifetime passion.
